I am proud to be the Ward Councillor for Braunstone Park and Rowley Fields.
My grandparents moved into the Ward in 1933 when the inner City slums were cleared. They raised four children, one of which was my Mother who herself raised four children, who are all still living on the Estate and raising their own families. So I can truly say I am well rooted in this community.
I became a community activist in the late 90's and made a natural progression to become a Councillor in 2007.
I am heavily involved in youth provision, being the Chair of both the Grove Youth House and the Street Vibe Youth Team. I am a long serving Member of the Braunstone Foundation Board and work alongside many volunteers in the Community to help support people from all walks of life.
I was re-elected in 2011 along with my two Co-Councillors, Michael Cooke and Wayne Naylor.
