I have been actively working in my ward with Cllr Wann dealing with various issues from education to crime and disorder. I am serving voluntarily on the licensing and gambling committee, am Deputy speaker for the children and young peoples taskforce, the community cohesion taskforce, the Councillors Commission, the Leicestershire Pensions Board, Employees Appointments Committee, substitute for the planning committee a governor at Highfields Primary School and Alderman Richard Hallam Primary School (which was my old Primary school).

 

I also work closely with all the other schools in my ward including Fosse Primary school. I have taken up a number of issues in my ward since being elected and work closely with the other local councillors, cabinet and MPs. I have represented the council at the Local Labour Group submission to the National Policy Forum with the Rt Hon Liam Byrne MP and The Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP in Wolverhampton (Please see useful links section for more details).
