The photos at the website address http://www.councillormanjulasood.com/page2.htm are from the Labour Party Conference in Brighton in September 2004. I became the first female Asian Councillor to receive the prestigious award for my efforts and contribution to the Labour Party.
I was awarded at the conference by the Labour Party Deputy Prime Minister, Rt Hon John Prescott , The Labour Party Chair, Rt Hon Ian McCartney and the Rt Hon Tony Blair, the Prime Minister. I was thanked and congratulated by a host of Labour Party Ministers and dignitaries.
