It was a marvellour year and meeting so many people was a great pleasure. My appeal successfully raised £100,000.00 and I would like to thank every one who donated towards it.  The Bronsticope (Asthma) is already in operation at the Glenfield Hospital. The Mammatome to improve breast care and the state of the art camera for prostate care are on order.

SOME OF THE ISSUES IN THE COLEMAN WARD
1. Youth work in the area reduced to almost nil and the Coleman Neighbourhood Centre and Coleman Lodge closed for most of the day. This is due to the Liberal & Conservative coalition, now running the Council, they have overspent on the Education budget by £3,500.000.00.

2.Traffic speeds on Wicklow Drive. The Council have agreed to submit a bid for a speed controlling signs to be erected as an interim measure untill the traffic calming takes place.

3. Complaints of anti-social behaviour behing properties on Green Lane Road which back on to Stonebridge Street has led to the Council consulting on gates to block the entries.

4. Coleman Road play area's fencing in need of complete replacement. The Council have agreed metal fencing to be installed in the very near future.

5. Quorn Road residents have complained about the drink related problems on 'Sparrow Park' on Uppingham Road.  Successfully lobbying has seen the Police recommend it becoming an area for banning drink. The matter comes to the Full Council meeting at the end of Nov.

These are just a few of the many issues and campaings I am invoved in.  If you know of something that needs doing please let me know.
