Councillor Rory Palmer

Rory Palmer is Labour Councillor for Eyres Monsell and Deputy City Mayor.

The ward includes the Eyres Monsell estate and part of the Saffron Lane estate (between Southfields Drive and Stonesby Avenue).

Rory was first elected to represent Eyres Monsell in May 2007, and was re-elected in May 2011.

In May 2011 Rory was appointed by Leicester's first elected city mayor, Peter Soulsby, as Deputy City Mayor.

As Deputy City Mayor, Rory has cabinet responsibility for climate change and transport.
